The novel, Wonder, by R.J. Palacio is about a ten-year-old boy named August, or "Auggie", who was born with a facial deformity that has made it very difficult for him to make friends throughout his life. He has been home schooled up until now, and his parents have decided to enroll him into a private school called Beecher Prep. While in this school, Auggie interacts with many new people and classmates, something he is not used to, and along the way he learns that some people can be cruel, but others can become close friends in a short amount of time. This book has an interesting and emotional plot and once you begin, you will not want to put it down. Also, it provides a new way of telling the story by having each chapter take place from a different point of view, allowing insight into each character's perspective. Overall, I would highly recommend this book and I hope you enjoy! ~ Jordan

The novel Wonder tells the story of 10-year-old Augie as he first enters the fifth grade. He has never gone to a public school due to a face deformity that he has suffered from his whole life. Despite this, Auggie is actually extremely bright and him and his family decide he is ready for the next step in his education. At school Auggie meets many people, some that will continue to be a good friend to him, others that prove not to be as nice as they seem. Every time I read this book I end up in tears by the end because of how connected I become with the characters throughout the book. As readers, we know how sweet Auggie is and how lucky anybody would be to be friends with him, but the kids at school cannot see past his appearance, only being small children. This book is a very easy read that I think everybody should experience at least once. It has been extremely popular for years and was made into a movie in 2017. If you’re looking for a quick, emotional read, I would definitely recommend this book. ~ Gianna

I highly recommend reading the book Wonder, by R. J Palacio, because it is a great story about people overcoming their problems and rising to the top. It is about a boy who has face deformities and is going to public school for the first time. In this book there is another subplot about his sister and her problems that she faces as well.  What is different about this book is that the narrator of the story switches between the characters so you can see the different point of views of all the different people. Overall this book is a very good read and I highly recommend reading it. ~Molly
