People should read The Giver because it is a great book. It kind of shows people a different perspective, or a new way of living that is less fortunate, the people just don’t know it. It is about a dystopian society where there is no color, every marriage is arranged from computers, and it is very futuristic with very strict rules. Many things that are “unsafe” are taken away from them such as snow, color, and many other things, and nobody remembers any of it except for one person called, the Giver. One special person is “chosen” and when it is reported, the Giver shares the memories of everything such as snow, color, and many other things that nobody else knows of. The main character, knows that it is wrong for them to take away those rights of those memories so they team up and the new Giver and his little baby brother try to go give those memories back to everyone. This story is very interesting and gives great descriptions and I personally love books about dystopian societies.
