The autobiography All The Way: My Life On The Ice goes through Jordan Tootoo’s early life as a child growing up in Rankin Inlet. For perspective right now the average temperature up there is -28 Fahrenheit. He grew up in a very small town and was very remote. Despite being remote the still had access to alcohol. Unfortunately growing up he had to deal with a alcoholic father and mother which resulted in him later in his life also becoming a alcoholic. Despite the odds not being in his favor he battled his way to the NHL. While in the NHL he was admitted to a alcohol rehab during the season. The book while being short, is touching and really gives you a responsive on things and reminds us how lucky we are.
