The mission of our library media program is to ensure that students are effective, creative, ethical, critical and enthusiastic users and producers of information and ideas. Our inquiry-based program fosters not only the skills, but also the dispositions and responsibilities needed for life-long learning. We aim to foster a passion for learning, with the hope that our students will not only learn how to learn, but will also enjoy and independently pursue the process
Teacher-Librarians works collaboratively with administration, classroom teachers and specialists in order that students meet curricular goals and standards set by the State, in combination with those set by The American Association of School Libraries, The International Society for Technology in Education, and The Partnership for 21st Century Skills. Our Library Program's emphasis on inquiry, communication, collaboration, creation, and critical thinking, in addition to media, information, and digital literacies, are key components in national and international education standards.
